Tema New Town is home to many families who face significant economic challenges and have limited resources to support their children’s education. As a result, countless children are unable to attend school or receive the quality education they deserve.
We are a school committed to providing free, high-quality education to children from impoverished families in this community. St Nicholas Preparatory School has served as a beacon of hope and opportunity, empowering young minds through learning and personal development. With a passionate team of facilitators and community support, we continue to transform lives, one pupil at a time.

Our History
St Nicholas Preparatory School was established in 2012 to address the urgent need for accessible education in Tema New Town New Town New Town, a community where many children face barriers to schooling due to poverty and limited opportunities. What began as a single pre-school classroom has grown into a vibrant educational institution offering classes from kindergarten through to elementary school (JHS). Over the years, the school has evolved into more than just a place of learning - it is a safe, supportive environment where children also receive meals, basic healthcare, life skills training, and emotional support at no cost to their families.
Rooted in the belief that every child deserves an education, St Nicholas Preparatory School continues to serve as a lifeline for hundreds of children, nurturing not only academic success but also dignity, confidence, and a sense of purpose. This transformative mission would not have been possible without the unwavering vision and support of our founding fathers, the Tsakos Group and the Maria Tsakos Foundation, along with the tireless work of Deborah Eleazar and Captain Alkiviadis Kappas (late) as well the many and very significant lifelong sponsors Metlen Energy & Metals Group, Efthymiades Group, Greek Government and many more that have endured to be next to the school for all these years.
